OUR COMMITMENTS
Since 2008, the tourism office of the Seignanx is commited in the promotion of sustainable tourism. Its first actions aim to raise awareness and support accomodations so they can progressively obtain the europeen Ecolabel. Today, around one third of the merchants beds of the Seignanx are ecolabelised. Many activities are also commited in an ecotourism approch, by sticking to a common charter.
We made the choice of a cooperative and renewable energy provider, we maintain sustainable partnerships with commited associations (Tree6Clope, ATD…). We carry a particular care for the source of our purchases and we work with craftspeople and local suppliers.
Tied to responsible digital technology, we continue our path towards data independance and the GAFAM emancipation. This initiative is realised by the development of a collaborative map of the Seignanx, the promotion and use of independant software on a day-to-day basis.
ECO-RESPONSIBLE VACATIONS
If you stay in the Seignanx, you will have a strong chance of finding an ecolabelised accomodation (europeen ecolabel, green key or else Sustainable Tourism) whether it’s for a night or a week, as a couple or with family (cabin or cottage). Our map also draws out every producer, for « local and seasonal » products fans.
Eco-responsible nature events and activities « à la carte » are also planned to ease out our thirst for nature. Finally, the pedestrian paths will thrill amateur hikers.
CERTIFIED ACCOMODATIONS : EUROPEEN ECOLABEL AND GREEN KEY
The europeen ecolabel is a label that guarantees an eco-responsible commitment. It is assigned to the host, following an external an independant audit. Service providers are particularly commited in limiting their water, energy and waste consumption, as well as the use of environnement-friendly products.
The Green Key label engages its signatories in a more eco-friendly tourism. It aims the slightest water, energy and waste consumption and the use of environnement-friendly products. Regular audits and proof collection.
ACTIVITES AND ACCOMODATIONS « Sustainable Tourism »
This Sustainable Tourism charter is developed throughout the south of the Landes. It engages hosts (campings, B&Bs…) and leisure activity service providers (bike renting, surf school…) in a more environnement-friendly toursim.
They must respect about twenty requirments related to waste management, the origin of purhases, their energy provider, the economy of water resources…
